Drug Development Pipeline

Ore Pharmaceuticals’ Indication-Seeking Program is the discovery engine for drug candidates entering our proprietary Drug Development Pipeline.  As we work with our pharmaceutical partners to identify new indications for their discontinued compounds, there may be instances when they choose not to develop the newly-discovered alternative therapeutic indication.  This will give us the opportunity to acquire these high-quality, clinical-stage compounds for our own development.

The initial compound in our own Drug Development Pipeline is GL1001, a clinical-stage small molecule drug candidate that was originally intended to help treat obesity. We have repositioned GL1001 for potential use in the treatment of gastrointestinal inflammation and other related diseases and conditions, including non-ulcer dyspepsia, gastric ulcers, esophagitis and chronic pancreatitis.

Based on extensive preclinical safety tests, we have found that GL1001 has a favorable safety profile. If you’d like to be a development partner for this repositioned compound, please contact us, as it is now ready for out-licensing.

Another path to filling Ore Pharmaceuticals’ pipeline: public domain drugs
In addition to compounds acquired from our drug repositioning partners, we also acquire compounds through our own analysis of drugs in the public domain. We have identified a number of public domain compounds that we are evaluating in our Indication-Seeking Program.
