Company HistoryOre Pharmaceuticals Inc. was incorporated in September 1994 as Gene Logic Inc. and headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Gene Logic’s initial business was the development and licensing of genomics technologies, bioinformatics systems, and information products and services to increase the productivity and efficiency of pharmaceutical and biotechnology drug discovery and development. Over the years, the Company established a record of creating, building, and sustaining productive business relationships with major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies globally.
In 2004, the Company acquired indication-seeking technologies from Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which, together with the Company’s genomics database and proprietary software, formed the basis for the current commercial drug development business. In December 2007, the Company sold the assets of the Genomics Business and changed its name to Ore Pharmaceuticals Inc. to reflect its new identity as a commercial drug development company. The Company’s stock is now traded on The NASDAQ Global Market under the symbol ORXE. |
